2007 Expanded archery 8pt
Brian,
Attached is a photo of the doe and 8pt I shot on the coast last fall. The buck came in with 2 other bucks: an equally sized 8pt and another smaller buck that was a 4-6pt. They came in to feed on some apples and I shot him at 1 yard. He ran 250 yards and dropped. He dressed out at 174 lbs and is the largest archery deer I've taken so far. The doe was shot at 6 yards and weighed 110 lbs. My bow is a PSE Pro-series Diamondback set at 70 lbs. I'm shooting 28 inch 2315 aluminum arrows with 125 grain thunderheads. My actual arrow velocity is 220fps (I have a crony). It is slow but the weight compensates nicely. I also shot a 120lb doe with my rifle. Needless to say, my freezer's full. Very good season! Thanks for stopping Wednesday and let's keep in touch on hunting stories. <<2007 Archery Buck.jpg>> <<2007 Archery Doe.jpg>> <>
